The manufacturing process of thick-sheet thermoforming manufacturers
The main production equipment of thick‑sheet thermoforming manufacturers includes: thick‑film thermoforming machines, acrylic laser cutting machines, imported CNC equipment, flat‑bed cutting machines, slitting machines, and bending machines. The principle of plastic‑housing thermoforming is as follows: this plastic‑processing technique uses thermoplastic sheets as raw material. The sheets are heated in an oven to their softening temperature, after which a vacuum created between the sheet and the thermoforming mold causes the sheet to adhere tightly to the mold surface—sealed around the edges. A vacuum is then drawn inside the mold to ensure complete adhesion, shaping the sheet to match the mold’s contour. Finally, fans and water spray are used to cool the formed part, followed by demolding.

Selection of Molds for Thick-Section Thermoforming Manufacturers
In the blister packaging manufacturing industry, four common types of blister molds are typically available on the market: plaster molds, electroplated copper molds, and aluminum molds. Plaster molds: These are produced by carving and shaping plaster in a semi‑wet state, then allowing it to dry into a mold. Plaster molds have low production costs. Due to their low hardness and high plasticity, they are easy to modify. However, a significant drawback is that plaster molds lack sufficient precision, have an uneven surface, and are brittle and not very durable. Consequently, they are often used for prototyping, as master molds for electroplated copper molds, or for small‑batch production of plastic‑encased blister items.

Characteristics of ABS thermoforming processing
ABS thermoforming uses ABS sheets that are baked to a specific temperature and then shaped via vacuum forming to create blister packs. ABS thermoformed blister packs can operate at very low temperatures, offering superior wear resistance and excellent dimensional stability. Consequently, they are commonly employed for automotive components and can be used to manufacture a wide range of ABS blister housings. Today, many machine enclosures are made from ABS blister material. Common applications include casings for air conditioners, instrument panels, medical devices, refrigerator components, and electrical appliances.

Thick-sheet thermoforming: What are the solutions to common thermoforming issues?
Thick‑sheet thermoforming with edge‑trimming: During the thick‑sheet thermoforming process, factors such as the mold’s dimensions, angle of view, and demolding design can cause a raised edge‑line at the product’s perimeter. In severe cases, this defect compromises the appearance and is typically classified as a reject.

Why are thick-sheet thermoformed trays so popular in the automotive industry?
Why does the automotive industry favor thick‑sheet thermoformed pallets? There are many types of thermoforming packaging materials, and thermoformed pallet management is one of them. Thermoformed pallets come in two distinct categories: thick‑sheet pallets and thin‑sheet pallets.
