How should thick-sheet thermoforming molds be selected?
In the thick-sheet thermoforming manufacturing industry, four types of thermoforming molds are commonly available on the market: plaster molds, electroplated copper molds, and aluminum molds.

Analysis of the Development Prospects for Thick-Section Blister Packaging
The principle of thick-sheet thermoforming is similar to that of thin-sheet thermoforming: a pre‑positioned sheet is heated in an oven until it softens, then placed within the perimeter of a thermoforming mold to create a sealed cavity. The air inside the cavity is rapidly evacuated, causing the sheet to conform tightly to the mold’s surface. After cooling and solidification, the finished part is obtained. In today’s plastics industry, the applications of thick-sheet thermoforming are continually expanding. Modern thick-sheet thermoforming technologies have become increasingly sophisticated, enabling the production of ever‑thicker parts. Coupled with very short mold‑making lead times—complex molds can be ready in as little as 15 days—thick‑sheet thermoforming now allows for the one‑step formation of large‑size components.

How should issues that arise during the production of thick‑sheet ABS thermoforming be handled?
As the name suggests, ABS plastic products are manufactured by molding ABS material using injection molding machines. With the maturation and continuous improvement of thick‑sheet thermoforming technology for ABS, its applications have expanded significantly, while performance requirements have grown increasingly stringent. However, during production, thick‑sheet ABS thermoforming often encounters numerous challenges. Below, we provide a detailed overview of common issues in this process and their corresponding solutions.
